At AraboLearn, operated by Arabo Learn Academy, the safety, dignity, privacy, and well-being of our students are important to us.

This policy explains the principles and practices we follow when providing educational services to children, young people, and adult learners through our website, online courses, live classes, and other educational activities.

We expect instructors, staff, students, parents, guardians, and other participants to behave respectfully and appropriately.

2. Students Under 18

Some AraboLearn courses may be available to students under 18.

Where required, registration and participation by a minor should take place with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to remain involved in their child’s online learning and communication, particularly for younger students.

3. Appropriate Communication

Communication between instructors/staff and students should remain professional and related to educational activities.

Where reasonably possible, communication involving minors should take place through:

  • Official AraboLearn platforms
  • Course communication systems
  • Official AraboLearn email addresses
  • Parent/guardian communication channels

Instructors and staff should avoid inappropriate private communication with minors.

4. Online Classes

For live online classes involving minors, AraboLearn expects instructors to:

  • Maintain professional behavior
  • Use appropriate language and teaching materials
  • Respect student privacy
  • Avoid inappropriate one-to-one interactions where reasonably avoidable
  • Follow reasonable classroom supervision and safeguarding practices
  • Report concerns relating to student safety

Parents or guardians may be encouraged to remain nearby or available during online classes for younger students.

5. Prohibited Conduct

AraboLearn does not tolerate:

  • Child abuse or exploitation
  • Sexual harassment or sexual misconduct
  • Bullying or cyberbullying
  • Threatening or abusive behavior
  • Discrimination or hateful conduct
  • Grooming or inappropriate attempts to establish relationships with minors
  • Sharing inappropriate or sexually explicit material with students
  • Requests for inappropriate photographs, videos, or personal information
  • Deliberate attempts to move inappropriate communication with minors to unauthorized private channels

Any serious safeguarding concern may result in immediate suspension of access or other appropriate action.

6. Student Privacy

We respect the privacy of students and their families.

We collect and use personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide our educational services and in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We do not intentionally publish a child’s personal information, photographs, videos, or other identifying information publicly without appropriate permission.

7. Photographs, Videos and Recordings

Where photographs, videos, recordings, testimonials, or other media involving students are intended to be used for promotional or public purposes, appropriate permission should be obtained from the parent or legal guardian where required.

Students and parents/guardians may contact us regarding concerns about the use of student images or recordings.

8. Reporting a Concern

If a student, parent, guardian, instructor, staff member, or other person has a concern about the safety or well-being of a student, they should report it to AraboLearn as soon as reasonably possible.

Reports may concern:

  • Suspected abuse
  • Bullying
  • Harassment
  • Inappropriate communication
  • Unsafe online behavior
  • Inappropriate conduct by an instructor, staff member, or another student
  • Any other serious safeguarding concern

When reporting a concern, provide as much relevant information as you can, including what happened, when it happened, and who was involved.

9. Responding to Concerns

AraboLearn will take safeguarding concerns seriously.

Depending on the nature and seriousness of a report, we may:

  • Review the information provided
  • Speak with relevant individuals
  • Take steps to protect the student
  • Restrict or suspend an individual’s access to the platform
  • Contact a parent or legal guardian where appropriate
  • Take other reasonable measures
  • Refer matters to appropriate authorities or organizations where required by applicable law

We will not promise absolute confidentiality where disclosure is necessary to protect a child or comply with legal obligations.

10. False or Malicious Reports

Safeguarding concerns should always be reported in good faith.

Knowingly making false allegations or deliberately providing misleading information may result in appropriate action.

However, a person who raises a genuine concern in good faith will not be penalized simply because the concern cannot ultimately be substantiated.

11. Instructor and Staff Responsibilities

Instructors and staff working with students are expected to:

  • Maintain professional boundaries
  • Treat students with dignity and respect
  • Use age-appropriate teaching materials
  • Avoid inappropriate communication
  • Respect student privacy
  • Follow AraboLearn safeguarding procedures
  • Report serious concerns promptly

Where appropriate, AraboLearn may require instructors or staff involved in children’s education to provide relevant information or complete safeguarding requirements.

12. Parents and Guardians

Parents and guardians play an important role in supporting children’s online education.

We encourage parents/guardians to:

  • Understand the courses their children are taking
  • Review the relevant course information
  • Maintain appropriate supervision for younger children
  • Encourage children to report anything that makes them uncomfortable
  • Contact AraboLearn if they have safeguarding concerns

13. Accessibility and Respect

AraboLearn aims to provide an inclusive learning environment where students are treated fairly and respectfully regardless of their background, ability, age, or level of language proficiency.

We do not tolerate bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior.

14. Emergency Situations

AraboLearn is an educational service and is not an emergency or crisis-response service.

If a student is in immediate danger, the student or their parent/guardian should contact the appropriate local emergency services or relevant child-protection authority in their country.

AraboLearn will cooperate with appropriate authorities where legally required.

We may update this Child Safety & Student Protection Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, safeguarding practices, or applicable legal requirements.
